Centium was founded by Michael Rueckert when he couldn’t find answers to a critical question: how do AI models perceive the brands he manages?
As Marketing Disruptor of the Year (Utah Business, 2024) and leader of the Marketing Team of the Year (Utah Business, 2025), Michael runs multi-brand portfolios across hospitality, ski resorts, and the outdoor industry. He saw early that AI wasn’t just another acquisition channel, but was becoming the future shopper of our businesses.
The challenge emerged from watching early AI developments. First, consumers would use AI to discover brands and make buying decisions. Eventually, AI agents would handle those decisions autonomously. If AI didn’t think highly about your brand, you’d lose the next generation of decision-making.
At the time, no tools existed to measure this concept, so Michael started building his own research methodology to decode how AI models evaluate brands. What started as genuine curiosity evolved into Centium, and now 180+ brands and agencies use it just like him.
